Reference: DVG-HR-2602

About the role

Devayan Global is building a premium international education platform focused on helping students make informed decisions about undergraduate study in the UK.

We are looking for an experienced Student Counselor who can combine professional student counseling with strong communication, educational content and student engagement skills.

You will guide prospective students through their UK university planning and application journey while also contributing to Devayan Global’s educational content, seminars and student-facing initiatives.

Minimum Experience Required: 1 Year. Candidates must have at least 1 year of professional experience in student counseling, preferably within international education, UK university admissions or a related education environment.

Your mission

Help students make informed decisions about their UK university journey — while helping Devayan Global educate, inform and connect with the next generation of international students.

You will work directly with students while also representing Devayan Global through educational videos, online sessions, seminars and training activities.

Key responsibilities

01 — Student Counseling

  • Conduct one-to-one counseling sessions with prospective students.
  • Understand academic backgrounds, interests, ambitions and preferred fields of study.
  • Assess students’ initial suitability for UK undergraduate study.
  • Discuss university, course, location and budget preferences.
  • Help students develop realistic university shortlists.
  • Explain university and course options clearly and accurately.
  • Provide structured guidance throughout the student journey.
  • Maintain a student-first and consultative approach.

02 — University & Course Guidance

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK universities and undergraduate programmes.
  • Understand entry requirements, tuition fees and application timelines.
  • Research university and programme developments.
  • Match student profiles with appropriate university and course options.
  • Help students compare academic, financial, geographical and lifestyle considerations.
  • Keep informed about developments affecting international students.

03 — Application Support

  • Guide students through relevant university application processes.
  • Review application information and supporting documents.
  • Identify missing or incomplete information.
  • Support personal statement/SOP preparation and review where applicable.
  • Coordinate with the internal application team.
  • Monitor application progress.
  • Follow up on offers, conditions and outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate student records throughout the process.

04 — Student content & educational communication

Student Counselors at Devayan Global will also contribute to our wider student education and content programme.

You should be comfortable creating professional, informative content covering relevant topics within international education and the UK student journey. This may include:

  • University and course briefings
  • UK university application guidance
  • Student preparation content
  • UK student-life information
  • University selection guidance
  • Academic preparation topics
  • International student updates
  • Frequently asked student questions
  • Explainers on relevant developments in the sector

You may be asked to appear in videos for Devayan Global’s: YouTube · Instagram · TikTok · LinkedIn · Website · Student Voices · Insights

The objective is education and information, not aggressive promotional content.

05 — Seminars & student sessions

You will also have the opportunity to represent Devayan Global in:

  • Student seminars
  • University preparation sessions
  • Online webinars
  • Educational workshops
  • School/college briefings
  • UK university information sessions

  • Work closely with the Partnerships, Applications and Student Services teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Record counseling notes and relevant student information.
  • Coordinate student activities with internal teams.
  • Escalate complex cases when appropriate.
